I'm a regular at the local deli and Dunkin' Donuts. I order what I usually order (or sometimes I'll mix it up when I feel adventurous!) and say my thank you's and smile. Every now and then small talk is made but it's mostly grab and go. During that time when I'm waiting for my order, I often wonder what it's like seeing us, the regulars, coming and going almost everyday. Do they have a story pieced together from those brief moments we're there? I'm tempted to ask but not knowing is more fun. I wonder what my story is... |
