"Not even a chance," I thought, "not even a chance." While sitting in a local coffee shop yesterday night, Christmas music filled the air. Thanksgiving didn't even get a chance to flesh out yet and already everyone's rushing on to the holidays. Sure, bits and pieces are slowly peeking out, what with the street decorations and the red Starbucks cups. But... there's something about Christmas music that truly makes it the holidays. Say, if you heard it during the summer I'm sure everyone would have some kind of mini-freakout and go, "Wait, what? That doesn't make sense!" And while it is very close to December now, I say at least let Thanksgiving (and the end of Fall) have a chance because I know the next holidays (and season) will last a while. But perhaps I say this because with the holidays comes another end of another year, and I guess I'm feeling a little nostalgic.

I think I feel the same way every year too. I always hear myself saying "I can't believe it's almost (insert forthcoming year number).
