![]() I've had my Nalgene for a while now, but I've been thinking of making the switch to Sigg. Reason? Well, it's not brand new news, but it's the possible health risks, particularly the BPA secreted by the polycarbonate plastics used. I mean, the water tastes fine to me whenever I take a swig out of my bottle, but every now and then I think about it and wonder if it really is affecting me that much. Now, I know that Nalgene has slowly phased out the BPA-based bottles and are now mostly BPA-free. (So has CamelBak with their Better Bottle.) I could always get a new one but, I don't know, this whole plastic thing is making me a little concernicus. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone uses Sigg and what your thoughts are? ![]() Embarrassing admission of the day: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie trailers somehow manage to make me tear up at some point. It makes me feel like a complete girl because... it's The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants! But it's just that right choice of music and right timing of a tearful and emotional scene, you know? In the first movie trailer, it was when America Ferrera said, "Why did you leave, why did you have to go?" that got me. And in the second movie trailer, it's when Alexis Bledel says, "...because! He broke my heart!" Yeah, I'm gonna go now. ![]() [Walking around with my iPod mini] Apple store worker: (does a double take) "Is that a mini?!" Me: (laughs) "Yup." Apple store worker: "Wow." Me: "And it still works like a charm." Apple store worker: (shakes his head as he goes back to helping a customer) "...wow."

![]() - Where On Earth Is Waldo? - Logólogos (logo equations!) - Meatwater (dinner in a bottle) - School lunch (what kids eat these days) - Photos of an electrical storm over the Chaitén volcano - He Took a Polaroid Every Day, Until the Day He Died (Previously: Lists, part 11) ![]() I went to see the Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy exhibit at The Met the other day. The fashion inspired outfits were interesting to say the least, but it was all about the original superhero suits worn by the characters in movies: Spider-Man, Catwoman, Superman, Batman, and Iron Man! It was exciting. They even had issue #1 of Superman and Captain America there! Now those are the comics that are worth millions. I can't believe I saw them up close. To round off that "superhero day," I caught a showing of Iron Man afterwards and man, that was a really good movie. I was never a big fan of Iron Man, but let me just say, Robert Downey Jr. was perfect as Tony Stark. (Stay after the credits! It's exciting.) Also, Tony Stark will actually make an appearance in the new Hulk movie! While on Robert Downey Jr., if you haven't seen Kiss Kiss Bang Bang yet, you should. It's one of my favorite films. It has the greatest narration and very witty dialogue. And, I'm just going to admit it: I really want to see Tropic Thunder. RDJ = A++.

![]() The problem with being a dreamer is that you have too many things you want to do. Whether you really want to do them is one question, the other is if you can. It's been a whirlwind week. I haven't been here, I know. I've started this entry several times now and, I can't seem to finish it. The words just aren't coming to me. All I can say right now is that I feel free, alive, empty, sad, and displaced all at once. I think I just want something to hang on to, something to have, anything. A large part of me can't sit still and wants to do everything. This stillness isn't as settling as I want it to be; it's terribly unsettling, actually. But I don't know where to start. That's the problem with being a dreamer. ![]() Sometimes I wish I had a favorite drink at the local coffee shop or a favorite sandwich at a restaurant. That way, no one would have to ask and they'd know what to get me every time. A lot of people I know have that one drink or sandwich they always get. Heck, I even know what they exclude on the sandwich and what kind of milk they want in their coffee. And I know that when you find that one, it's a keeper. Your taste buds have a party every time. But, I don't have a favorite drink or sandwich. I'm always trying something new on the menu, anything that catches my eye or sounds interesting. I do get the same thing sometimes, but I'm all about being adventurous with my food. Does that mean I get tired of things easily? Nah, I just like to mix it up every now and then. I do have my "safe" options if things don't work out. Kind of like life.

![]() When I retire, I want to open a little bakery. Gosh, I love baking. There's something very therapeutic about it, you know? I love mixing the ingredients and watching them form into something different and delicious. Pies, cookies, and muffins are my favorites to do. Oh, I could open a pie shop! Anyway, what do you see yourself doing when you retire?
