![]() I've had my Nalgene for a while now, but I've been thinking of making the switch to Sigg. Reason? Well, it's not brand new news, but it's the possible health risks, particularly the BPA secreted by the polycarbonate plastics used. I mean, the water tastes fine to me whenever I take a swig out of my bottle, but every now and then I think about it and wonder if it really is affecting me that much. Now, I know that Nalgene has slowly phased out the BPA-based bottles and are now mostly BPA-free. (So has CamelBak with their Better Bottle.) I could always get a new one but, I don't know, this whole plastic thing is making me a little concernicus. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone uses Sigg and what your thoughts are? I was actually just trying to make the same decision. I think I'm going with a Sigg come payday.
Sigg is killer. I bought one last December and it has served me incredibly well. When I put hot tea in it at 8am, it's still very warm by 4pm! The same goes for cold drinks. Definitely switch.
I just bought a Sigg last week after breaking my non-Nalgene bottle, and it's lovely. The taste is a little metallic, but personally I prefer it to plastic.
Thanks for the input, everyone!
