![]() When I retire, I want to open a little bakery. Gosh, I love baking. There's something very therapeutic about it, you know? I love mixing the ingredients and watching them form into something different and delicious. Pies, cookies, and muffins are my favorites to do. Oh, I could open a pie shop! Anyway, what do you see yourself doing when you retire?

the scent of fresh bread in the morning is happiness. when I retire I want to work on my gardening skills and finish reading/researching paradise lost.
I'm kind of hoping to write books after I retire. That might be either quite typical or quite atypical, but there are lots of things I would like to work on. Fiction, biography, etc.
With luck, I will be able to do it at a very, very slow pace.
i never want to retire. doesn't planning for your retirement imply that you're spending your life doing something you don't really want to do? you should open up a pie shop now. why wait?
now. having rudely displayed a pretentious and in no way accurate superiority/narcissism here... i'm a huge hypocrite b/c i just want to practice my chosen career long enough to pay off my loans and make some money, then quit and do 'what i really want to do'.
but i'm not calling it retiring. heh.
I'm not sure what I'd like to do. Read a lot more I suppose. I'd say open a bookstore but I think if I'm old enough to retire I'd rather just cut out the hassle and relax.
So, yeah, I think I'd just enjoy all my hobbies a little more and spend more time with my family. Grandkids and all that (I hope).
I see myself being the old lady who works at the library and yells at people to stop talking. That would also be the same old lady who yells at you for kicking your g.d. ball in my g.d. flower beds. :)
I want to open a bed and breakfast in France. I also want to travel the world with medicine in my bag and help out poor people. Of course, that might happen before I retire. :P
