You know when you just automatically respond to someone without thinking? It's not until a few minutes later do you realize the response makes no sense. Example: when a cab driver drops you off at the airport and the driver says, "Have a nice flight!" You auto-respond with, "You too!" I think my favorite is when someone asks, "What's up?" and the response is, "Good, good. I'm fine." Or when someone asks, "How are you?" and you get, "Nothing much!"

I hate when I'm walking through the mall and one of the guys working at a kiosk (usually a cell phone company) says something random like, "Hey great hat," or "Still snowing out there?" My first response is always, "No, thanks." And then they laugh at me. And then I feel silly.
