![]() Hip hip hooray! I made it through Every day in May! I don't know what to say, except I can't believe I made it all this way! Thanks for reading my rhymes, even if they were the opposite of sublime. (Previously: Day 30)

![]() The sun is golden, and I am beholden. Things seems happier, as the warmth brings great cheer. I hope you're all well because I am quite swell. (Previously: Day 29)

![]() On the subway this morning, all was quiet and kinda boring... until the man slumped over woke up, and starting SHOUTING and SHOUTING all abrupt! I was startled and a little terrified, but managed to keep a cool demeanor outside. His SHOUTING got louder and harsher, so I hopped off the next stop and decided to transfer. I wasn't in the mood to fight so I took flight, out of sheer fright! Some people are crazily unstable, I'm never sure of what they're able! (Previously: Day 28)

![]() Sleep is something that keeps eluding me; perhaps if I wore a sleep tee, and a got a sleep key (thank you, without a fee), and got stung by a sleepy contestant on the spelling bee, and tapped a sleep wand against my knee, I could finally sleep, golly gee! (Previously: Day 27)

![]() My first list in poetic form! Wish me luck, for this is not the norm. When you take something apart, sometimes it becomes art, like this exploding digital SLR-- now that is quite something, by far! Speaking of art, I really am a kid at heart. With the wonderful Toy-A-Day, I can make my favorites in a very square way. (I'd also like an R2D2 suitcase, like the one shown at this place.) For a book lover, I cannot deny that I sometimes judge books by their cover. If you shrink all those books enough, they'll tile and maybe form some... stuff? Like these human landscapes from above-- oh Earth, with love! But it isn't always joy, rather sometimes a simple decoy to distract us from what is real, so we don't have to deal. Alas, the world moves fast, making some things a blast from the past. Whew, I managed to rhyme my list! I have to admit, this was a fun twist! (Previously: Day 26, Lists, part 23)

![]() Today the POTUS nominated Judge Sotomayor, set to become our nation's first Hispanic justice. My first thought was this: minus the female part, the exact thing happened on The West Wing in the episode called The Short List. Sometimes I think... "Is Aaron Sorkin's crafted world really coming to life?" Some of the parallels are uncanny, and I don't know how to feel except... bewilderedly satisfied? (Previously: Day 25)

![]() Happy Memorial Day! To a day filled with BBQs, beach going, sales, and most of all, to the men and women who fought and died in service. This is your day; we salute you. (Previously: Day 24)

![]() Despite the okay reviews, my high expectations kinda won me over. Terminator Salvation was action-packed and whoa! There were some cheesy-ish moments with throwbacks to the old, but overall it was good times. I don't know what Michael Bay would say, but the action scenes were pretty good! Brush up on former films and history; you'll be thrown into it without a second thought. Sam Worthington as Marcus Wright was cool, and Christian Bale as John Connor-- let's go with ARRRGGGHHH!!! (In a good way, that is.) Anton Yelchin was wonderful as always, aka Chekov in Star Trek. Also, I wish I didn't sit next to these d-bags, laughing at every scene. It kind of ruined it a bit for me; come on, dudes. Seriously. (Previously: Day 23)

![]() Some days I don't want to do anything-- I sit, I lay down, I stare off into the distance. My mind is numb, tired from the stress and pressure. But sometimes on those days, I force myself to engage, to be productive, to accomplish something, anything, large or small. And I feel a little better, before sitting, laying down, and staring off into the distance. (Previously: Day 22)

![]() After the initial minute, my legs relax, my breath steadies, and I fall into a rhythm. My feet tap the pavement, a small breeze tickles the trees, and the world becomes my soundtrack. (Previously: Day 21)

![]() It feels like Friday, from the lazy sway to the sweet, sweet sorbet. Everyone was out today: at the outdoor cafe, at the park in a musical soiree, at the swings for child's play, on the streets in every which way! I hope I won't be in disarray, when I awake tomorrow, oy vey! (Previously: Day 20)

![]() My mind is blank, or maybe cloudy like a dirty fish tank? I can't tell at the moment so I'll continue with this... ascent? To where, I do not know; I'll just go with the flow. Achoo! and I sneezed! Whew, my nose is pleased! That itch is gone, and now replaced with a yawn. Oh, that's where I'll go! To bedfordshire, my beau. (Previously: Day 19)

![]() There's still a ringing in my ears, but worth the rocking out to my peers. (I'm running on low, but I kinda like it though!) Did anyone else watch the Glee preview? It was delightful and woo! Funny, charming, and just enough quirk. I like a Fox show...? Beserk! Nah, I jest. But some of their decisions, I still contest. (Arrested, for sure. And some others too, I just can't think of any more.) (Previously: Day 18)

![]() Be grateful for what you have, it might be gone one day. Appreciate the little things, love the bigger things. Hug your parents, hug your friends, hug everyone you love. To know happiness is to know sadness, to know good health is to know sickness, to know life is to know death. Be grateful for what you have, we might not be here anymore. (Previously: Day 17)

![]() I still need to see Star Trek again; my excitement is something I cannot contain. But Terminator Salvation opens this week, and that is too much for this geek. I know I can't see both in one weekend, because my brain will bend and blend. What I mean is, my brain will explode, and then probably implode. All that goodness on the silver screen? Oh, it's like having too much caffeine! These are my problems-- tough life I have, right? (Previously: Day 16)
—Sunday, May 17, 2009 0 comments Day 17: These are my problems
![]() Oof, I think I hurt my back. Maybe I should give it a crack? Or someone should give it a whack! Not to worry, I'll be back on track. Until then, I'll lay down and have a snack. (Previously: Day 15)
—Saturday, May 16, 2009 1 comment Day 16: Back
![]() I try not to judge, and I try not to fudge! I'm accepting, I'm tolerant, I'm patient. I feel bad when people badmouth others: the judgments, the disapproval, the unacceptance. (That's not a word, but it should be heard!) It's because... I know what it feels like, I know how that feels, I know. But whatever the hardships, whatever the bad quips, be true to yourself, always. (Previously: Day 14)

![]() As I type, I hear the hype. And by hype, I mean rain. I hear it go down the drain, I hear it drop against the train, I hear it dribble into my brain. Oh, dear. I fear, my head is filled with water! Should I hang out with a sea otter? (Previously: Day 13)
—Thursday, May 14, 2009 0 comments Day 14: Otter and rain
![]() Today I compared life to a menu. It's overwhelming, too many choices, a lot to take in. But! Once you've looked it over, it kind of makes sense. It's fun, so much to do, a lot to learn. And! Like a familiar menu, there's comfort, there's warmth, and milkshakes. (Previously: Day 12)

![]() "Now it's your turn to cry, so cry me a river." I won't deny that I enjoy this song; sometimes I play it all day long. Well, that's an exaggeration. Maybe for just for a portion. The beats are killer-- oh hey now I'm listening to "Thriller"! I enjoy genuinely good pop, rap, rock, indie, hip-hop-- music flows through me, from head to toe, so fresh and free. That sounded really cheesy, but I like cheesy. "How could you be so heartless?" What comes on next is anyone's guess. (Previously: Day 11)

![]() OMG STAR TREK. I think it's The Dark Knight of sci-fi. If you will, Nero the Romulan was the Joker, and the crew of the USS Enterprise was Batman. Speaking of which, with Kirk, Spock, Bones, Sulu, Chekov, Scotty and crew, it was adventurous and exhilarating! Great comedic timing, a solid storyline and great acting made even non-fans, fans. (Or at least, enjoy the movie.) I was never a hardcore fan, having only seen TNG as a kid (and knew Shatner and Nimoy as I grew up). But holy cow, wow! I know I'm not rhyming at all, but at least I'm in poem form? JJ Abrams forever has a fan in me, from the days of Felicity and Alias to Lost and Fringe. All I can say is beam me up, live long and prosper, Kirk out. (Previously: Day 9)

![]() Sometimes I don't know what to write, so I'll just rhyme one word like tonight! I sure do like flying a kite in a sky so blue and bright. Or I'll code a site, mostly to my delight, but it can be a plight. Well, alright. I guess I'll take flight. Good night! (Previously: Day 8)

![]() Where do I start? The beautiful colors, the delicate sprinkles, the rich and creamy frosting... Oh, that frosting! How it sings! My mouth applauds the chorus as I dive into it like a brontosaurus. Then the cake, as I bite into it, shakes me of my sugar fit. This is a cupcake, plain and simple. And, might I add, cute as a dimple! (Previously: Day 7)

![]() It sure is dark in here. I cannot tell if this room is... austere? If it is, there won't be a delicate chandelier, nor a friendly gondolier. Oh, but maybe I'm really in a belvedere! With pretty views and light all year, I could live on this great frontier! So clear, so sincere, so... premier! Alas, my dear-- it seems I'm in a room full of beer. (Previously: Day 6)

![]() Once upon a time I woke up. Once upon a time I walked a lot. Once upon a time I fell asleep. Once upon a time I flew a sweep. Once upon a time I lost my way. Once upon a time I found-- No, I never found it you might say; I am always finding my way. (Previously: Day 5)
—Wednesday, May 6, 2009 0 comments Day 6: Once upon a time
![]() Today is Cinco de Mayo; we celebrate the culture and heritage of dear Mexico. It is not Mexico's Independence Day, a misconception we often say. It is for the defeat of the French at the Battle of Puebla, wherein General Lorencez was bested by General Zaragoza. (And if you're curious, because I was too, Mexico's Independence Day is September 16th, woohoo!) (Previously: Day 4

![]() Please call them May showers, and not May flowers. Where are you my sunshine? Why aren't you mine? Remember when it was in the 90s? And we all wore shorts and tees? Showers be gone! Let the season of Spring finally dawn! (Previously: Day 3)

![]() Oh, Wolverine. I went in with low expectations for my Logan-lean. But to my surprise, it was entertaining and fun! Some cheesy moments and action galore, it was not outdone. Hugh Jackman is the man-- and, well, is mighty fine and tan. (Oh me, oh my, he is a dreamboat, le sigh.) This Canadian superhero is not a zero. So don't cross him and his path, or he'll snarl and unleash his wrath. (Previously: Day 2)

![]() Contrary to what this photo may suggest, it has actually been a rather relaxing Saturday. This photo was taken 2 years ago when I was a guest at my friend's apartment for a weekend stay. (Yes boys will be boys, I have assessed; what can I say, these were in a basket like a bouquet!) I assure you, I do not jest; these do exist in every which way! It reminds of the lady who sang a tune in zest: "Connndoms, N-Y-C connnndoms!" Well, okay! She handed them out on the street unstressed with some passersby approaching without dismay. I remember her fondly and was very impressed for she had the heart and soul without cliché. (I came across this photo while I was on a quest to find a certain photo taken on a certain day.) (Previously: Day 1)

![]() Every day in May I will write a poem, which will be quite the challenge for sure'em. (See what I mean? Rhyming can be tough as a bean!) But I will try with all my might and I hope, for you, it will be a delight! Until I write again tomorrow, please don't have so much sorrow. (Smile! Jump! High five! It's good to be alive!)
