OMG STAR TREK.
I think it's The Dark Knight of sci-fi.
If you will, Nero the Romulan was the Joker,
and the crew of the USS Enterprise was Batman.
Speaking of which,
with Kirk, Spock, Bones, Sulu, Chekov, Scotty and crew,
it was adventurous and exhilarating!
Great comedic timing,
a solid storyline and great acting
made even non-fans, fans.
(Or at least, enjoy the movie.)
I was never a hardcore fan,
having only seen TNG as a kid
(and knew Shatner and Nimoy as I grew up).
But holy cow, wow!
I know I'm not rhyming at all,
but at least I'm in poem form?
JJ Abrams forever has a fan in me,
from the days of Felicity and Alias
to Lost and Fringe.
All I can say is beam me up,
live long and prosper,
Kirk out.
