Hands down, Burger King. I love them when they're freshly fried and piping hot. I also die for their onion rings. :P
I'm such a sucker for McDonalds fries -- horribly unhealthy salty awesome -- but it's been forever since I had Burger King so I can't compare.
McD's for fries. Burger King for onion rings. I haven't had either in a really long time, though.
McD's for fry purists. But BK has superior burgers, and their fries are still quite good.

McDonald's fries > Burger King's fries
I rarely (like, once or twice a year) eat MD or BK's fries though; something about them gives me a really icky borderline stomach achy feeling afterwards.
